PDP developed its highly acclaimed entrepreneurial training course after months of extensive research into other entrepreneurial training programs and curricula, reviewing best practice materials, delving into adult learning techniques and evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of its previous curriculum and course material. As a result of its intensive investigation, PDP settled upon a curriculum that incorporates the best components of several programs.

The Successful Entrepreneur:
What You Need to Know to Win in Business

Module 1
The Entrepreneurial Journey - Thinking of starting a business or improving your existing business? This module reviews the characteristics of a successful business owner, helps define the business owner's goals and abilities and identifies what you can expect as a new business owner.

Module 2
The Essentials of Business - Topics focus on the essential areas for business success, including:

  • Marketing (Defining your product, pricing, sales, developing a marketing plan, advertising, market research and feasibility, etc.)

  • Cash Flow, Financial Planning and Accounting

  • Operations (Form of business, taxes, banking, recordkeeping, licensing and zoning, etc.)

Module 3
Writing a Business Plan - Teaches students how to organize and create an effective business plan, either for financing or day-to-day business operations.

All classes are interactive and hands-on, where students learn by doing. Each module includes exciting Simulation Exercises that allow students to operate mock businesses.
