PDP offers a highly-acclaimed entrepreneurial training course for individuals that aspire to start or expand businesses. The courses are available at convenient locations in both Philadelphia and Cester. PDP offers both day and evening sessions and the training course is repeated several times per year.

PDP's business skills training is different from other programs because it is designed to equip entrepreneurs with more than just the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to launch a business. PDP provides more than theoretical learning—we provide the practical tools that can be immediately applied to any business situation from idea-stage to start-up to existing businesses with a view to greater success.

Recognizing that a new entrepreneur is short on resources (particularly financial) and any investment of time and money must produce an immediate return, PDP's entrepreneurial training philosophy emphasizes:

  • A curriculum with practical content that is readily applicable and relevant to the entrepreneur's business and personal needs.

  • A delivery approach that complements the entrepreneur's level of experience and comprehension, and accommodates different learning styles.

  • Experiential learning using business simulation exercises, case studies and direct application of concepts and strategies to the participant's specific business circumstances.

Led by PDP's Training Manager, Earl Boyd, the PDP business skills training course teaches the basic principals of starting and running a business. Guest speakers and business experts frequently teach topic-specific sessions related to their specialized areas of expertise, giving the participants exposure to a wide range of knowledge and experience.
