Throughout the year, PDP organizes business workshops and seminars for entrepreneurs,
often inviting guest lecturers to share their knowledge and expertise. Topics include
creating low-cost marketing strategies, effective time management and how to take
advantage of government procurement opportunities.
PDP periodically offers
financial literacy classes that deliver information about how to build assets through
savings and tax benefits, build good credit, how to recognize and avoid predatory lending
situations and money management solutions.
Entrepreneurs also receive valuable training through PDP's series of technology workshops,
which teaches students how to use common business software applications and develop
Internet marketing strategies.
As the need arises, PDP presents industry-specific seminars that focus on business issues
specific to daycare providers, retail owners, contractors and professional service providers.
In addition, PDP purchases training slots and provides scholarships for program
participants to attend business development conferences and other seminars, such as those
sponsored by the African American Female Entrepreneurs Alliance, GPUAC and
The Philadelphia Tribune.
Check our calendar for upcoming events and workshops. If you are
interested in a workshop that is not offered, please contact us
and make a request.
